Route and elevation

5K: The 5K route follows the same scenic course as our other River Runs, starting from the Adur Recreation Ground. Runners will head out past the airport, cross the Toll Bridge, and join the Downs Link trail before looping around the turnaround point and making their way back to the start at the Adur Rec.

With virtually no elevation change, participants can look forward to a flat, fast, and peaceful run along the picturesque Shoreham Riverside — perfect for those looking for an enjoyable, steady-paced race or a chance to set a new personal best.

10K: The 10K route follows the same start as the 5K, beginning at the Adur Recreation Ground before heading out past the airport, crossing the Toll Bridge, and joining the Downs Link trail. From there, runners will continue further along the riverside path, carrying on all the way to the turnaround point near the Cement Works. After looping back, you’ll rejoin the river path and follow it home to the finish at the Adur Rec.

The course is very flat and picturesque, offering stunning views along the River Adur and surrounding countryside. It’s a perfect route for both new and experienced runners looking for a fast, scenic, and welcoming event.
