The South Coast Series X SHIFT. Hydration – Winter Trail 10
To celebrate another year coming to an end, The South Coast Series is teaming up with SHIFT. Hydration for a one-off winter trail run on 20th December.
Starting from our new unit, we’ll be heading out for a Winter Trail 10 — a very relaxed, social run with no pressure and no racing.
The route will take us out across the South Downs, down into Steyning, over the river and back through some really nice trails. There are a few hills along the way, but that’s all part of it — and, to be fair, that’s what we love.
Run the flats. Walk the steep. Slide down the mud.
Who knows what the conditions will be by then but hopefully the sun will be shining.
Although the pace will be relaxed, this is still a 10-mile trail run, so you must be comfortable covering 10 miles and have a reasonable level of running fitness.
This is a small pop-up run with just 25 places available, keeping it social and relaxed from start to finish.
Every runner will receive a custom The South Coast Series X SHIFT. Hydration T-shirt, made especially for the event.
There are no medals — just trails, winter conditions, good company and some festive snacks waiting at the finish.

A simple way to round off the year properly.
A quick note on parking: there isn’t a huge amount of parking directly at the unit, although we’ll be working with the neighbouring units to make as much space available as possible. If you can get dropped off or car share, even better.
Beeding Hill car park is also only around a 10-minute walk away, so that may be the easiest option for some runners.
Please Note This is a relaxed group run rather than an officially organised race. There will be no timing, marshals, medical teams or race-day support on the route, but we’ll be running together as a group throughout. Please come prepared for the conditions, look after yourself and enjoy a lovely winter morning run.
